I received a call from the NYCDOE HR Connect at 65 Court Street regarding my LOAWOP application informing me that they received today, May 8 2009, a duplicate of my application bearing the signature of Fausto de la Rosa (photo on the left). Thank goodness. I do not want to leave New York City without certifying that I am a tenured teacher of 18 years. I do not want the Board to terminate my position for abadonment of duty or AWOL.I believe that de la Rosa was pressured to affix his signature because of the e-mail I sent to my lawyers, copy furnish him and Ms. Francesca Pena instructing the law offices to begin the filing of a lawsuit in civil courts against the administrators of Unity High School and all others involved in harassing me and my position. I would like to think that the office of Mr. Wilson in the ISC, District 02 at 333 Seventh Avenue played a big role in influencing or compelling de la Rosa to sign the document yesterday, May 7, 2009.
