EFL Specialist's First Day at Lackland Air Force Base

May 11, 2009 marks the first day of my 13-month temporary teaching job as an EFL Specialist here at Lackland Airforce Base'e Defense Language Institute English Language Center.

I was amazed at the professionalism of all men and women of the DLI offices. I was first brought by my manager to the Center for Civilian Personnel of the US Air Force where I was processed - meaning I filled up many sheets of important documents related to my employment, each division spoke before us, explained everything that need to be known by all employees present today as our day of employment.

After this, I was picked up by my boss and brought to the DLI center where I was met by a few top brass, then I was introduced to an important person who is handling my security clearance. From her office I was ushered into the supervisor who introduced me to the American Language Course . We previewed the Pre-service 2009 handbook, an Overview of the American Language Course, and other points of interest.

I was met by my mentor who discussed with me many of her experiences as a language teacher in the DLI.

May 10, 2009 - Mothers' Day

I miss my Nanay, dapat magkakasama kami ngayong magse-celebra ng araw ng mga Ina, ngunit siya ay pumanao na.

I did not have a wink at all since yesterday, May 9, 2009. I will share with you the reasons, but first let me go to sleep in my hotel room at Lackland Air Force Base.

And the Harassment Continues - DOUBLE JEOPARDY

Fausto de la Rosa (Photo on the left) does not want to STOP HARASSING ME. This harassment and retribution case is already in the hands of the EEOC, it's under investigation, and he still does not want to stop his discriminatory harassment on my person.

Today, May 9, 2009, I received from the mail a letter accusing me of misconduct on the subject that had already been the subject of an SCI investigation for which the SCI had closed the case because the facts had been unsubstantiated.

He has no qualms of lying in print on what he wrote that I uttered at the meeting in front of Tom Dromgoole. I have a witness that that meeting and he decided to twist the facts of the conversation and had put words in my mouth - words or statements which I did not utter at all. He is a pathological, a congenital liar.

I will past a segment of the letter that he wrote me to satisfy your eyes, but I have to do this later.

I will refute this later because I have to get ready to fly to Lackland Air Force Base in 3 hours. let me take a nap then I will continue this when I am on the plane

Finally I am ready to deploy as an EFL Specialist

I received a call from the NYCDOE HR Connect at 65 Court Street regarding my LOAWOP application informing me that they received today, May 8 2009, a duplicate of my application bearing the signature of Fausto de la Rosa (photo on the left). Thank goodness. I do not want to leave New York City without certifying that I am a tenured teacher of 18 years. I do not want the Board to terminate my position for abadonment of duty or AWOL.

I believe that de la Rosa was pressured to affix his signature because of the e-mail I sent to my lawyers, copy furnish him and Ms. Francesca Pena instructing the law offices to begin the filing of a lawsuit in civil courts against the administrators of Unity High School and all others involved in harassing me and my position. I would like to think that the office of Mr. Wilson in the ISC, District 02 at 333 Seventh Avenue played a big role in influencing or compelling de la Rosa to sign the document yesterday, May 7, 2009.

I told you so

Today I received a phone message from Judith Rivera of the Manhattan ISC informing me that Fausto de la Rosa had signed my application for leave of absence without pay.

Lawyers to initiate lawsuits

Today, I sent an email to my lawyers to initate the institution of legal complaint against any and ALL NYCDOE officials who continuously harass, retaliate, and discriminate on me for one year and a half. I copy furnished Fausto de la Rosa and Francesca Pena the same e-mail so that they would be aware of the plans I have so they they can reflect on their posture regarding the treatment and actions against my person and career.
